In Long Beach, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across California do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Pastaphony at (657) 793-9139; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pastaphony.com.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Fantastic new spot on the promenade. It's a great spot to get dairy free pasta but just be sure to ask them to not put parmesan on the pasta. We forgot to mention that and they remade it for free so they're very understanding even though I think it was our fault for not asking first. It's a little expensive but what isn't these days?

Great food, huge portions, quick service, and really nice owner who made sure we were well taken care of on a holiday weekend when everything else nearby was closed. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food, service, and people! The pasta came out super fast, and was absolutely delicious. The large serving size was able to fill me up for lunch and still gave me leftovers for dinner! Try the Nutella Bombs!!
